John Hess

John is happy to be serving on the Board of Directors for Wayward Actors and is honored and humbled to have the title of President.  He would like to first of all thank the Board who feverishly works making sure that Wayward continues to produce the best possible product for the stage.

He graduated from Spalding University with a degree in Communications, he performed in several productions with Spalding’s theatre company, and during that time also became a resident actor with Kentucky Contemporary Theatre and the original Alley Theatre.

Since graduation John has performed with many of the regional theatres in Southern Indiana and North Central Kentucky and garnered the Best Actor of 2002 for his portrayal of Norman Bulanskey in Boys Next Door at the 2002 Kentucky Theatre Association Competition.

Some of his favorite roles have included, Ellard Simms in the Foreigner at Clarksville Little Theatre, Andrei in the Three Sisters, with The Chapel Players, Norman in the Boys Next Door at Little Colonel, and favorite of all Mickey Gorski in Greetings with Wayward.

John would be remiss if he did not thank the one person who’s review mattered most, Thank you Daria for being understanding with the process of directing, acting, or producing a show.  You are appreciated more than you know.
